Devara Opens Strong Despite Low Key Buzz
Jr NTR’s much-anticipated film Devara (Hindi version) has outperformed expectations, especially in mass circuits, where it received a strong push on its opening day. The film raked in ₹7.95 crore on Day 1 (Friday), driven by Jr NTR’s massive fan following and positive word of mouth. Although the Hindi version of the film had a relatively low-key buzz and lacked popular music, spot bookings and evening shows helped boost its collections.
Mass circuits took the lead, while national chains witnessed increased footfalls towards the evening. If this trend continues, a weekend total of around ₹30 crore seems achievable. Moreover, the upcoming Gandhi Jayanti holiday on October 2nd, combined with an uninterrupted run until Dussehra is expected to provide an additional boost to Devara‘s box office numbers.
