Kartik Aaryan, known for his charming performances, shared a pivotal moment from his life during his appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati 16. Him and Vidya Balan joined host Amitabh Bachchan on the show to promote their film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Coming from a family of doctors, Kartik felt pressure to follow a conventional career path. He revealed, “I got into DY Patil College, and my parents thought I was studying there, but I was really going for auditions.”
Kartik Aaryan’s Emotional Confession
When Kartik cracked his first audition for Pyaar Ka Punchnama, he called his mother from Andheri station, overwhelmed with emotion. “I was crying; my mom was in shock,” he recalled. His mother, initially hesitant, couldn’t believe her son was choosing a career in acting over medicine.
Kartik Aaryan recounted, “Only two days later, my mom and aunt were seated in director Luv sir’s office. I was enacting a romantic scene, and they were observing it on the laptop.” He further reflected, “That was the moment when my journey officially started.”
The Turning Point: A Canceled Medical Admission
Interestingly, Kartik’s father revealed that the actor had once secured a medical college admission. However, they couldn’t provide the bank guarantee required, which canceled his admission. This twist of fate allowed Kartik to pursue his passion for acting.
Kartik’s mother still reflects on how different life could have been if he had become a doctor or Engineer. But in hindsight, his failed admission was a blessing in disguise, leading to a thriving acting career instead.
